Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on city buildings, parks, and infrastructure systems
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including trucks, forklifts, and power tools
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and city safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in facility maintenance or construction trades
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficient with hand/power tools and basic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
