Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery safely including dump trucks, graders, and asphalt equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs during inclement weather or public safety incidents
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Participate in public outreach events related to municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong commitment to public safety and community service values
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
