Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (excavators, graders, street sweepers)
- Perform preventive maintenance on city facilities and grounds
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Conduct daily inspections of public spaces and utilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on special projects
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years equipment operation experience
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Kansas driver's license with clean record
