Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (tractors, mowers, sweepers) for public spaces
- Perform preventative maintenance on city vehicles and machinery
- Respond to emergency stormwater drainage issues and infrastructure repairs
- Conduct daily inspections of parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated service delivery
- Document maintenance activities and submit compliance reports
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years experience in equipment operation or maintenance
- Certification in CPR/First Aid preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Pass background check and drug screening
