Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery for road maintenance and construction projects
- Perform preventative maintenance on city vehicles and infrastructure systems
- Respond to emergency repairs and storm-related public works incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work activities and equipment usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B) with clean record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and power tools
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
