Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure including streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., sweepers, graders) and hand tools safely
- Perform routine inspections of municipal assets and document findings
- Respond to emergency weather-related maintenance requests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Washington State Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or infrastructure maintenance
- Certification in equipment operation or industrial maintenance preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Pass background check and drug screening
