Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment including trucks, graders, and specialized machinery
- Conduct safety inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Adhere to all municipal safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain equipment records
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during off-hours as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or willingness to obtain
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience with GIS mapping or municipal software a plus
- Pass background check and drug screening
