Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and asphalt equipment
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
- Document work activities and maintain accurate maintenance records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and concrete repair
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
