Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment (street sweepers, dump trucks, etc.)
- Perform infrastructure repairs including roadways, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and grounds
- Implement safety protocols and emergency response procedures
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban development projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit compliance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years public works or heavy equipment experience
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
