Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency storm damage repairs and weather-related incidents
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and prepare detailed maintenance reports
- Coordinate with contractors and utility providers for project execution
- Implement safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Clean driving record and background check required
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
