Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on city vehicles and heavy equipment
- Operate machinery including street sweepers, snowplows, and trenchers
- Respond to emergency service calls for infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal facilities and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Indiana Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience with heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Clean driving record and background check required
