Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including roads, parks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency situations including storm damage and utility disruptions
- Conduct inspections and document maintenance activities using digital systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Indiana Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation or maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
