Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) safely
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Inspect public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Participate in community outreach events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Kentucky Class B CDL license
- 2+ years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Kentucky Water Operator certification preferred
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
