Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, dump trucks, graders) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct water quality testing for storm drain systems
- Assist with park landscaping and green space maintenance
- Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Class C California driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and physical fitness assessment
