Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (street sweepers, dump trucks, graders)
- Perform routine inspections of public infrastructure
- Respond to emergency service requests (weather-related damage, etc.)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital projects
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class C California Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- 2+ years of equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
