Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and storm-related incidents
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or related field
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, excavators)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments
