Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including graders, loaders, and street sweepers
- Perform preventative maintenance on city vehicles and machinery
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs and stormwater drainage issues
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Complete accurate maintenance logs and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Certification in equipment maintenance or related field preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting systems
