Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on city parks, public buildings, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including asphalt rollers, street sweepers, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal regulations
- Coordinate emergency response during severe weather events or public safety incidents
- Manage inventory and requisition materials for maintenance projects
- Document maintenance activities using digital work order systems
- Mentor junior staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 3+ years municipal maintenance experience
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or facility maintenance preferred
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and digital maintenance management software
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
