Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on sidewalks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including street sweepers and asphalt patchers
- Respond to weather-related emergencies (snow/ice removal)
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure concerns
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on urban improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Oregon Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical exam
