Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and cleaning of city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Operate heavy construction and maintenance equipment, including graders, rollers, and sweepers.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter storms.
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal infrastructure to identify potential hazards.
- Respond to emergency service calls and citizen work requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure all tools and vehicles are maintained in a safe and operational condition.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Kansas Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
