Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency storm drain and flooding incidents
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public improvement projects
- Enforce safety protocols during field operations
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and businesses
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of public works or construction maintenance experience
- Certification in water distribution systems or wastewater collection preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Ability to pass background check and physical examination
