Responsibilities
- Maintain city parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields including mowing, landscaping, and equipment repair
- Perform street repairs, pothole patching, and sidewalk maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (trucks, loaders, snow removal equipment) safely and efficiently
- Respond to weather emergencies including snow/ice removal during winter months
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on special projects and events
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in groundskeeping, construction, or equipment operation
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Certification in equipment operation (backhoes, loaders, etc.) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, plumbing, or electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
