Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, streets, and facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on public projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Participate in community beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred
