Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct regular inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Assist in traffic control and public safety operations
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of public works or construction maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
