Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery including mowers, trimmers, and small excavators
- Respond to emergency service calls for infrastructure repairs
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards to supervisors
- Assist with park and public space beautification projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Texas Class C Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in groundskeeping or construction maintenance
- Ability to operate power tools and light machinery safely
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Valid Texas Water Operator license preferred
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
