Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure public safety.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and snow removal equipment during inclement weather.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in disaster recovery efforts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist with the installation and repair of traffic signs, pavement markings, and guardrails.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly preferred.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and working in all weather conditions.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or public works operations is a plus.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
