Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during storm events
- Conduct field inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- 2+ years of public works or construction experience
- Certification in water distribution systems preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic computer skills for reporting systems
- Pass background check and physical examination
