Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery including street sweepers, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Respond to emergency service requests for stormwater management and debris removal
- Conduct regular inspections of municipal assets and document maintenance activities
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in maintenance preferred
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- Certification in OSHA safety standards or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical fitness assessment
