Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, dump trucks) for park and street upkeep
- Perform preventative maintenance on municipal facilities and green spaces
- Respond to emergency repairs and storm damage cleanup across city districts
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for infrastructure projects
- Document maintenance activities and equipment usage logs
- Assist in community beautification initiatives and special events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (Class B) preferred
- Minimum 2 years equipment operation or maintenance experience
- Certification in landscape maintenance or heavy equipment operation a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure systems
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
