Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including snowplows, graders, and backhoes
- Perform seasonal maintenance on parks and public facilities
- Respond to emergency storm and weather-related infrastructure issues
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on city equipment
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong commitment to public safety and service
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
