Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and trenchers
- Respond to emergency repairs during weather events and public safety incidents
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Assist in disaster recovery efforts and community improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment with proficiency
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in Arizona climate
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
