Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment for infrastructure maintenance projects
- Perform repairs on sidewalks, roads, and public drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections of city facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate repair schedules
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
