Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency weather-related infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal standards
- Document maintenance activities and inventory usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills in outdoor environments
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping systems
