Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, street sweepers)
- Inspect public facilities for safety hazards and compliance
- Respond to emergency repairs during storms or public events
- Coordinate with contractors and other city departments
- Complete detailed work logs and maintenance reports
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License
- 2+ years of maintenance or construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
