Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and alleyways to ensure safe passage for the public.
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal vehicles, including dump trucks, graders, and snowplows.
- Execute snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions to keep city streets accessible.
- Inspect public infrastructure, signs, and traffic control devices for compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with water and sewer line maintenance, including digging, patching, and valve operation.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and citizen inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies for crew projects using hand trucks and forklifts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Oklahoma Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Experience operating heavy construction or municipal equipment is preferred.
- Ability to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
