Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs in city facilities and parks.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to ensure public safety.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Adhere to all city safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or landscaping is preferred but not always required.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety compliance.
