Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks)
- Perform road repair, street sweeping, and drainage maintenance
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and equipment
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit progress reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class C California Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Certification in traffic control (TCII) and flagging
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
