We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to perform a variety of maintenance duties to ensure our city remains clean, safe, and functional.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of public parks, streets, sidewalks, and playground equipment.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including lawn mowers, tractors, dump trucks, and snow removal equipment.
- Assist in storm response activities, including debris removal and flood control.
- Maintain and repair fencing, signage, and utility structures within city limits.
- Monitor and ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials at designated sites.
- Conduct daily inspections to identify hazards, structural damage, or maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments to support community events and projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record is mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, construction tools, and equipment operation.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
- Strong commitment to public service and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience in municipal, construction, or landscaping work is a plus but not required.
