Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and athletic facilities
- Operate light to heavy equipment for landscaping and construction projects
- Conduct street repairs, including pothole filling and drainage maintenance
- Assist with disaster response and emergency infrastructure repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or facility maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, dump trucks)
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
