We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to serve the citizens of Fort Worth.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled and unskilled labor tasks related to street maintenance, drainage systems, and general public infrastructure repair.
- Operate heavy construction and maintenance equipment, including backhoes, rollers, dump trucks, and pavement breakers, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair public property assets such as guardrails, traffic signs, and street lighting fixtures.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring compliance with environmental and city regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance labor is preferred.
- Ability to pass a post-offer medical examination, including drug screening and background check.
- Physical ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA and city policies.
