Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and asphalt equipment
- Respond to emergency storm damage and infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal facilities and grounds
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities and submit detailed reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Valid Colorado Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Experience with municipal GIS systems a plus
