Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely including dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency weather-related incidents (snow removal, storm cleanup) as required
- Conduct inspections and document infrastructure conditions using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools with proficiency
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
