Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, graders, mowers)
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities and green spaces
- Respond to emergency weather-related incidents (snow removal, flooding)
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Assist with traffic control during public events and construction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience in equipment operation or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
