Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city vehicles, machinery, and equipment
- Perform routine inspections of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Respond to emergency repairs and service requests within 24 hours
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
- Participate in disaster response and community service initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of equipment operation or maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
