Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, excavators, and street sweepers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during severe weather
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal property and equipment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Experience with GIS mapping software a plus
