Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, graders) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Conduct inspections of public facilities to identify safety hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and reporting documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or facilities maintenance
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Washington State Flagging Certification required
