Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in park maintenance including landscaping and facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency service requests during inclement weather
- Complete detailed work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or maintenance
- Ability to operate hand/power tools and light machinery
- Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
