Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, trenchers) safely
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct site inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Implement erosion control and stormwater management protocols
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class A preferred)
- 3+ years in public works or construction maintenance
- Certified in OSHA construction safety standards
- Experience with GIS mapping and maintenance tracking systems
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Spanish bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
