Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely (backhoes, dump trucks, etc.)
- Respond to emergency repairs after storms or accidents
- Conduct inspections of municipal assets and document findings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CAL/OSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or construction
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
