Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and improvement of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as dump trucks, rollers, and excavators, safely and in accordance with all regulations.
- Inspect work sites for safety hazards and ensure compliance with city codes and standards.
- Respond to emergency service requests and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, contractors, and other municipal staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in public works, construction, or facilities maintenance.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment and tools.
